Bang Bang Salmon Bites
tender, flavourful salmon + the most addictive sauce
I love salmon, but I usually end up making it the same way every time: baked with olive oil, lemon, garlic, and tarragon. I’m still finding my footing in the world of seafood—I only added it back into my diet this year after nearly a decade without it—and it’s been really fun. At home, I tend to stick to the basics, but this recipe is just one small step up from my usual salmon routine. I mean, barely. It’s still super quick and easy and I know it’s going to become one of my go-to ways to make salmon from now on.
The salmon gets tossed in a sweet, savoury, and tangy marinade, then baked and broiled until tender and golden. I serve it over steamed rice with edamame and finish it off with a generous drizzle of bang bang sauce. If you’ve never had it before, bang bang sauce is creamy, lightly spicy, a little sweet and addictive. It’s perfect over salmon, and works with many other proteins. I’ve made something similar with tofu and will share that recipe soon for my plant-based friends!
